Only 1 cat in the downpipe on a wr1, did have 2 cats off production line, downpipe cat was replaced with a bigger one when the ppp was fitted and second cat after downpipe was replaced with a straight through section when the ppp was fitted, however this still looks like a cat as they refitted the heat shields but if you look closley under the heatshields you will see it only has a straight through pipe through the middle, Decat replaces the down pipe and this part.
Ant,

Had an my99 uk classic,

Then got P1 (0329),

Then got a brand new WR1 (092),

Then got a my00 UK Classic,

Then got another P1 (0488), Now Sold.

Try RCM, they are only 100miles from you, why mess around getting it done in a back street garage trying to save a few quid? I think Bro had this done on his from RCM but could be mistaken?!?

On a side note, does anyone know of a de-cat pipe that will fit the WR1 in order to keep the "standard" Prodrive back box etc?
Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...

I've asked that before on here and the "people that know" seem to agree around the 400bhp mark?!? I think some have got away with more but it's on a trial and error basis

Jimmy 400 is the safe limit to run a wr1 on standard internals which Zedder asked.

For a remap, decat & panel filter your probably looking at somewhere between 330-350 max. To run 400 you'll need a few more bits like a new turbo, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, probably a front mount intercooler as the top mount will be maxed out & to keep things cooler & a lot more money.

& yes you must remap if you decat.

Sorry, I should have made my reply clearer I was only talking about running on standard internals.. Cheers Gee :thumb:

Pity JP isn't around because he would be able to answer your question(s) using the medium of tantrums and psychological trauma, all you have do to engage is give him your mobile number.

Ooops silly me...just remembered he only got to 397bhp and threatened to sue the tuners

Damn that 3bhp.

Some have had well over 400bhp and still going strong apprently

For 400bhp you'll probably need to upgrade to a bigger turbo, a decat, caik, injectors or fpr, and possibly fmic, there are other bits but these are probably the main ones.
