Suspension - thinking of a change

Postby No347 » Tue Mar 17, 2009 10:44 am

Although the rear struts are not knocking I'm looking for a complete suspension upgrade....

I seem to be down to two choices -
1. TEIN Super Street at my local specialist
2. AST Sport Line from another local specialist

Can anyone give me some feedback on either of these options or suggest a option I have not considered.....?

Also should I still be considering ALK to reduce the front end lift or will a replacement package do the job ?

Thanks in advance for any info.

BC Racing Coilovers - group buy on Snet - £550. Had them on for a few weeks - first impressions really good.

Couple of guys I spoke to were talking about the BC's but couldn't find anyone who had them fitted and run with them for any long period of time..

The AST set up I have ruled out now anyway after hearing a few issues people have had.

exe-tc's everyone I have spoken to have reconmended maybe this is the route I need to take.
I guess it's a true case of you get what you pay for....

So 1mposter will the exe-tc setup reduce the front end lift under full power or do I still need to be factoring in a ALK and such like ?

I've just ordered Exe-TC and asked if they recommended anything else to be fitted at the same time. They mentioned ALK.

If you are interested try giving Alyn at AS Performance a call. You might well get a discount due to the WR1oc

AS performance, Thanks Bro I'll give them a shout when I return to the UK.

I was hoping the full set up would do the job without any extras but if I know what I need it's all good.

Cheers. :D

No probs, best bet is to chat to him. Alyn will want to know what you use the car for and he wil advise accordingly. When I spoke to him he was almost talking trying to talk me out of some items if I wanted to save a little cash. Make sure you mention the WR1oc.

TEIN look cool with the EDFC but most say EX-TC are the way to go if you can afford it. EX-TC are supposed to be really good but theyre almost double the price of any other coilovers... :)

TEIN is where I originally went as this is my local specialists choice....

I'll speak with AS Performance and have the crack with them 1st
I want the best but in this current climate I am looking for value for money

I'll go with Bro's suggestion and see what AS say before I make my final choice....

Cheers Megaman!

I've just spoken to Alyn at AS Performance as my car is booked in. He said he can do "a little" discount if you guys mention the WR1oc.

Alyn at AS Performance.

I tried to get a group buy for these when I got ours, no one was interested on here at the time, got a lad from sidc interested, we paid £1500+ vat fitted at exe-tc factory in Exeter. Since brought the rear top mount, fitted by them foc, also 3 alignments over the last 2/3 year foc aswell 8) 8)
