Dump Valves - Advantages?!

Postby John Mc » Sun Feb 15, 2009 9:02 am

Firstly, does the standard WR1 have a dump valve? (I don't hear any "pressure relief" noise when you change gear)....

What advantages does having one add? Is it a protection device only or does it actually aid spool / air flow through the exhaust cycle?

The WR1 has a recirculating dump valve - does a perfect job

Anything else is a waste of money as there are no performance advantages and you end up sounding like a chav.

Thanks for that... I never knew what protection the WR1 had. Is the standard one good for any power upgrade or would you have to put something else in place when upgrading?

The std one is the best option for most power upgrades that your car will get to.
