The question everyone should be asking and are not is what is the rest of the spec...i.e do you need a front mount?

What's the rest of your spec ?

Do you really need a front mount ?

A std TMIC is good for up to 400 or more - depends on what you use the car for...

Going to see him tomorrow mate. :) I'm convinced there is something not right with the induction kit but lets see what tomorrow brings.

It will be holding it back a bit with the standard intercooler with that turbo, and putting a front mount on will liberate a good bit more go-go.

I fitted the first of these turbo's to WR1 Bro's car and it gave over 400 BHP with an APS front mount. The APS's are great bits of kit with no chopping other than the front bumper and you can get them in black - on a WR1 with a grill you don't see it at all so it's as 'stealthy' as the Perrin. I have no experience of the Perrin so can't comment but i can recommend the APS's.

APS is a great piece of kit - just make sure you get some proper hose clamps on the pipe that comes up near the rad overflow - the std hose is short and pops off too easily as both dan and i have found out.

I use Murray Corp constant tension clamps and they are superb!

Dunc - Visted Zen today. Paul gave it a thorough check up and carried out a service on it. When the Solaris Ecu was installed, so was a mode switch enabling me to switch the boost levels depending on the Fuel Ron.

He diaognised slight compression surge when boost is wound up i.e. needle shaking up and down when hitting 1.7/1.8 bar - now sorted. :) Overall he was happy with the way the tubo spools up on mine which is pretty quick in his opinion.

He's put in 4 additional settings of boost - tried the lowest one from their place to mine in South London, and I managed to only use 1/4 of a tank equating to approx. 85 miles, this is great considering I used 1/2 on the way there. Even with the low boost the car felt quick.

The A/C and lighting probs resolved.

Paul sure does like the Solaris but more importantly knows his stuff too! :)

Dunc - Don't know what Paul (Zen) :notwor: did but boy the car feels so smooth....but yet the pick up feels  bloody quick - notches 1 and 4 though at different boost levels feel so consistent to each other in terms of power delivery.
