Can someone advise on this? Not sure about fitting one, this is my first turbo car and have heard these are a must to protect the turbo, but i have also heard that fitting one mess up the whole security of the car because its still running when you lock it up/engage immobiliser. Any help will be great cos ireally dont want to break number 500.

turbo timers are really just a gimick, just to make people say, " hey mate your cars still running" and then 20 seconds later it turns itself off, like KITT or something ;)

So long as you dont turn your engine off, after travelling at 155 mph it will be fine.

Normally people have a drive way, by the time you drive up your drive and park the car, its cooled down.

Just remember to drive slower for the last 3 mins or your journey. to let everything cool down, the same as a cool down lap on a track day.

Unless you declare it.

Thought about fitting one to the last wrx i had, but after doing a bit of homework decided against it. There's the cost of buying it, fitting it (2-3 hours) & if not done right yes alarm can be messed up. One person replyed with" Why spend
