Exhaust

Postby Bonovox » Tue Oct 14, 2008 2:21 pm

I'm not that mechanicaly minded so thought I would ask you guys.
I just got my car and already thinking the exhaust is a bit on the loud side for my quiet little cul-de-sac :? It says Blitz Nur Spec on the back box and looking it up on here it seems it's one of the loudest  .
Would I be able to buy a Prodrive back box without changing the whole system to quieten it or is their some other way?
What does a Prodrive back box cost any whooooooo?

I think you will need to change the centre and back box. Someone else will confirm this.

I would have thought that you could pick up a Prodrive centre and back box on here without too much effort.

Notice that on the Bltz Nur spec exhaust you can get a removable baffle/plug thing that fastens on with an Allen Key? Anyone heard if they make a difference? Also where could I pick one up?
Just been for a 100 mile drive and my ears are still ringing.

Just got the car so not sure how old the exhaust is and how much has been changed? If I did change it back to standard I would have to see what condition the Blitz was in?

When new the Blitz came with a bung. The bung sounds awful as mine rattled.
