Another pff7 refurb question!!!

Postby pav » Sat Dec 29, 2007 11:03 pm

looking to get my alloys refurbed, but after reading the trouble some of you guys are having getting official paint codes etc, I posted on SIDC and had a reply that Subaru Pewter was a close match, anyone fill me in if this is the case?

Think you might find its a little darker.. but if you have two done on one side like I did on my Sti you will not really notice... unless you're a perfectionist... like me

yeah your right Spike, he did. But seems like he had an absolute ball ache getting the colour right, such as having a wr1 wheel from RCM sent to the guy who was repairing it, paint codes sent from Italy etc

Thanks for the heads up on pewter being no good, I think there may be a SEAT colour that's similar.

I'll need to look into it more

Cheers guys :notwor:

Pav i gave you the paint code last night on sidc. It was the same one that had been posted on this forum PPG 226.662. The pewter looking similar was said by another member who had used this colour, personaly i've not seen the pewter colour swatch so can't comment, was only passing the info on to you.

I know Gee, didn't mean any offence mate, was just trying to get a second opinion as I don't want to get the colour wrong. I know the trouble the guys were having trying to get the paint from speedline

'google' wheel magic cgarcia, they are mobile so will come to you, I had been reading on another forum and they came highly recommended. I'm waiting for them to e-mail me a quote
