WR1 wanted

Postby fraserf6 » Thu Jun 11, 2015 6:14 am

Hi guys, looking to buy my first wr1, realistically I would like a standard one with relatively low miles but let me know what you've got. My budget is around the £10k mark but can be stretched for the right car. Thanks

Hi, I have No 75 for sale, above your £10 budget but nothing needs doing. That £10k budget could easly turn into £13k plus if repairs are required. Kiss goodbuy to £2k straight away if you need shockers, tyres, brake pads only....... :!:

If this isn't the right car then Im stumped............... :?:

PM me if your interested.

Good luck with your search and welcome to the site. :thumb:

If you're looking for a good condition one, you'll need to expand that 10k budget for sure bud

Welcome to the site I was in the same boat as you a few months back looking to spend £10k unfortunately you won't get a good one for that money I test drove a few described as mint you will probably need to put your hand a bit deeper into the penny jar good luck and don't give up I nearly did and am very glad I didn't

Hi mate, iv got number 039 for sale. Buying my first house so the time has come :(

Iv owned it just over 3 years. 47-48k miles. I did new godspeed discs and pads alround when i got it. New pirelli tyres as they came out the factory with. Car is mint and needs nothing. In the garage 90% of its life. Fully serviced etc. had cambelt done at scooby clinic about 800 mile ago. Iv only done 2k since iv owned it, never get much free time and use my van for work.

Has a brand new set of center caps with it, never fitted to the car. Original wr1 keyring in metal tin, mint condition. Also has 2 keys and the numbered tax disc holder.

Wouldnt be selling it if i wasnt buying this house, but im afraid its got too.

Pm me if interested. (Lincolnshire area)
Finally Got My Hands on a WR1 #039. Loving it ;)

Dont be fooled by a low mileage example is going to be better.... :shake: the WR1's i looked at many years ago where low mileage sheds. Not trying to sell my really high mileage 65100 miles to you though........ I also wanted a low milegae example, until I came across this one. Come and have look, judge for yourself, use this one as a template..... for your search for a low miler.... I put mine against any low mileage example, including that £25k one. Your be hard pushed to find a better one :!:

Hi Gary

thanks for your reply. fully appreciate what you are saying. low mileage doesn't necessarily mean a better condition car I agree. i would say the main reason i want one so low is for ease of sale should i need to in the future. but not to the detriment of the condition of the car either! anyway ill pm you now as i see you are in bham which is just up the road from me.
