WR1 Wheel centres, old knackered ones wanted!!

Postby Smasher » Thu Dec 27, 2012 11:14 am

Hi Guys as it says,

I am looking for a set of the wheel centres, not worried about condition as I only really want the backing plate plastic part, i had my wheels refurbed and told the chaps that i was fitting new wheel centres, didn't explain fully to them, and they re-fitted the old ones, fitted the wheels realised i didn't want them fitted and as they tought i was replacing the wheel centre, not replacing the cover or aluminium part, they drilled through them to save removing the wheels to get them off.

As my wheels are darker i fitted some nice prodrive black centre covers, so i will remove the corroded aluminium ones fitted.

i am sure someone out there has an old set lying around in the garage.

cheers in advance, Kev.

Wheel centre caps are about £20-£30 from the dealers. Baffles me when you see these centre caps sell on ebay for 20 quid each

Ah right, I havent got any new ones for a while. Gave up replacing them when i realised they are plastic and that my "wonder wheels" wash was making them corrode and last not very long at all.

Yeah you got it right, i originally had the Pff7 ones that corroded and looked naff, and as the wheels were a darker black i brought some new centre cap stickers (sort of stickers), levered the original 'P' ones off cleaned up the plastic, and stuck on the new black ones. I want to do this again, but the buggers at the bodyshop drilled holes in the old ones to get them off...

I managed to purchase a new set of centre caps a couple of months ago, One of the parts people at a subaru dealership was very helpful and e-mailed my request to the whole subaru dealership network and luckily I got one reply from a dealer in ayrshire who had a set on the shelf, They only had one more single cap on stock but it wasnt in the right place (lost), So the chances are that no one has these anymore and at £63 inc postage I had a result.

I think Bro is going to auction a set next year so maybe worth holding out for them?
Maybe someone on ebay will sell another set for the starting price of £8million ! :wtf: greedy Fecks
Nobody told me it was this brutal !
