Wanted, mint RB5 or Classic

Postby Steveyk » Tue Jun 12, 2012 1:28 pm

As above, have a mate with 3k burning a hole in his shellsuit pocket, he needs an Impreza. Would ideally love an RB5 but would take a tidy Classic. If anybody knows anybody with one for sale let me know.

Is he hoping to get finance to make up the rest of the funding?

3k will get an immaculate 99/00 classic, we've seen a few but they sell faster than a whippet with a sphincter stuffed full of jalapenos.

Woohoo! After weeks and weeks of looking around he's bought this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251107467735? ... 97.c0.m619

We went to see it last night, it drives brilliantly, looks immaculate and is a credit to it's owner. The two previous owners were his neighbour and a friend of his dad's! It has all original paperwork, all dealer invoices, all receipts, a fully stamped service book and every MOT.

We spent an hour or so poking round and kicking the tyres and took it out for a run, and after a brief haggle my mate is the proud owner of a lovely classic and can join the Scooby club!

Really nice car, still has the original exhaust on after 13 years. There's something about a classic...

Looks nice, its a 2000 model year car as well looking at the wheels and colour coded mirrors etc, tell your mate to change the 802 green label ecu for an 800/801 from a 1999 model year car as the mapping for the boost is more exciting, i did this on my 2000my classic got ecu from ebay for a fiver and its a straight swop with no key programming required, and makes for a more exciting drive.
