If they are driving lights, why do they only come on when you have the full beam on?

You can switch them off with the switch so they dont come on too

An fog lights go out when main beam is on too !

it would be better to be able to turn them on without the full beam...

then get your screwdriver set and soldering iron out then.

Should be a simple re-crimping of the wires from the switch, so that it triggers a positive 12v regardless of full beam being on or not. However I think that they would be deemed illegal to have on without full beam as the lens/reflector of a fog light versus the driving light is different. They would impair the vision of the oncoming driver for sure.

I like the extra grunt they give with full beam anyway, and those twats that have the front fogs on all the time for no reason annoy the heck out of me.

The driving lamps waste of time, more cosmetic than practical, recommend Xenons dip/main. Driving lamps like candles in comparison.
