What's it Worth 28k WR1

Postby Paul N » Tue Mar 11, 2008 7:33 pm

OK, not sure yet, but think the WR1 will be going this year, what's it worth?

2 owners
Full Subaru Service History
May 04
28k miles
Very tidy standard car

Want the new shape at some point, going for a run out on Sunday but think we'll be waiting for Prodrive to breath on it  :D

What's the WR1 worth as a trade in against the new car & what's it worth as a private sale?

All opinions welcome
Cheers
Paul

Best buy a MY08 asap then, before they cost the Earth to tax. :)

Would I be right in thinking a new jap import would be cheaper to tax than a uk model ?

Was hoping about 15k if I'm honest, just wondered if we were been optimistic, if the price is too low we keep it another year, nothing wrong with the car just fancy the new model  It's had it's big depreciation, can't see another year making too much difference  :D

He's going to have to work hard to sell us it, like Imposter says think best to hang on 6 months for the Prodrive version.............then ours will be worth less

Not good, must admit the salesman is actually coming in early for us Sunday, says must come with us on test drive :D

Usually go to another dealer miles away due to excellent customer service, but despite aparantly been on their mailing list for the new STI, heard nothing from them, so will give local dealer a try, least they have made an effort :D

Mind if we went to usual dealer sure he would just throw me the keys, always has before  :D

Well, took the 08 out this morning, impressed with it, now got a difficult decision to make, dealer recons he can give me what we want for the car, confirming tomorrow, just need to decide do we jump now or wait for the Prodrive version & I'm very tempted to go for it now  :D

Thanks for the offers on the car, but being totally honest, dealer has beaten them

Decisions Decisions Paul :?

You may decide to got for it now, and be pleased with the new sti.....
but regret it at a later date if a mcrae version comes about, ie losing a lot of dosh trading it back in.

Personally a special editon will be on the cards eventually, my choice would to be wait for it. It may be a 6/12 months away though.

Yep, know exactly what your saying, but also need to consider Debbie will be driving it day to day, already put 14k on the P1 in 10 months

Need something a touch newer, so the P1 can be semi retired but not sold, made that mistake once before  :D also got a trip to Corsica & Finland this year, could have 20k on the clock in 12 months  :D

We'll see  :D
