Hi all, anyone temped to sell, pm me.

I'm really looking for a standard car. Lovely modified one currently available and seen a couple of average ones all around the 11k mark but haven't found the right one that's been loved.

Cheers.

Trying to be ! Kicking myself that I sold mine last June now as can't find anything decent except those extortionate dealer ones. Not many selling at mo.
Didn't buy the one today so going to wait for the right one.

Can anyone tell me about a knocking diff? Under normal driving in auto, should there be a knock from the back when accelerate then ease off, not even hard? The guy was a good bloke so I'm not going to slate it on here, just want to know what's normal.
Sure it wasn't the rear shock problem as they had been changed apparently.

Sold mine with 36k miles and mine didn't knock. :D

Anyone also tell me who is cheapest for modified insurance?

As an old git (45! ) I can get cheap quotes for standard but it's 3 times the price for modded to 400bhp +

That raises another question, is the bottom end good for big power mods?

I was really looking for standard and to keep the limited edition provenance but the modified route is tempting!

Diff's can be a prob. My first had a weird diff in reverse on lock would get almost stuck, but it did have 82k on the clock.

Cheers Guys, Geoff's insurance sounds reasonable so might give them a try.

Have read a thread somewhere about the diff bushes wearing out over time so mileage wouldn't really effect it, I've had two 1's, 31k and 71k and neither have knocked, although in my opinion the higher mileage car is far the nicer to drive

worn T-bar bushes can often cause noise on transition

I drove another today and no knock so there was definitely a problem with the other one. Might not have been major but definitely from the diff and needed sorting.
