292 For Sale.....

Hello All,

My WR1 no 292 will be up for sale in Early March.

She is due at AS performance for a final check over and solve a cold start issue ( Over fuelling on cold start only ) at end of Feb so will be ready ! All the usual excuses ... Now working abroad and baby forces sale ! In honesty as I'm away most the time I simply don't drive her and its a shame someone else could be !

Here's for the car stuff

55,000 miles
Full service History - last one completed one month ago including diff oils and gearbox oils
No 292 with plaque in car and tax disc holder.
All other normal WR1 modifications

Non standard items completed prior to me owning

Full exhaust 3.5 inch APS system
Lateral headers
Alloy radiator
Exceedy clutch ( £2000 )
Double size Perrin top mount inter cooler
Roger clark full induction kit
Turbo smart blow off valve
AVCR type R boost Solenoid controller with 3 maps
Mapped by Jolly Green Monster in Surrey Running 320 bhp in normal, 370 bhp in setting A and 418 bhp in setting B

Only thing I have done since owning is changed wheel colour to Matt titanium.

you have a choice £11,500 now or £10,500 with cold start issue.

Also selling my 52 plate Mini Cooper s which has been mapped and running close to 200 bhp as well if interested @ £3500.... Cheeky ! Lol 69,000 fish etc

No sorry it has a larger turbo supplied by owen developments. I'm not sure which one but I'm going to ask AS performance to have a look for me ... Also larger injectors as well

I was just about to say wheres your plaque gone, then I spotted it next to the cup holder.
Does the air intake not suffer from heat soak from the engine bay, or does still having the wing snorkel in place get over this.

looks like you can just see end of wing snorkel .
i was always suspicious of cars with no plaque or plaque at side of cupholder.
but seen a few with plaque there, plaque was supplied later and i think some owners or dealers put at side of cupholder or not in car at all.
its only stuck on with badge tape!
#367 had it in correct place in centre console.
#273 didnt have it at all , funnily enough #367 has no badge and #273 has one in correct place now!

Yeah plaque was put next to cup holder by previous owner ... I quite like it there to be honest.

The air filter is after market, original one would be fully enclosed thus protecting it from heat issues from the engine bay.

Thought I'd explain a bit more, ( eating a curry whilst typing is not always a good thing ).
The original filter arrangement, with a decent filter insert, is usually good enough for highish horsepower, but people tend to change them for cone type filters thinking that they would improve performance, but what they don't think of is "heat soak".
Basically you ideally want to keep the air intake as cool as possible, therefore allowing all those ponies to be released, and put that smile upon your face, lol.
You can buy cone type filters that sit inside an enclosure, and this keeps them protected from the heat generated in the engine bay, but obviously these are more expensive, hence the reason why you see just the cone sat in the engine bay on a lot of cars.
Hopefully that explains it a little better, I'm off to enjoy a glass of red now, boy that curry was good!

What's going on with the intercooler? Doesn't look like its standard, where's the sti one?

It's a Perrin oversized top mount. Needs to be larger due to the power it's currently running.

I never put it on but the previous owner told me it was basically double size of normal one on std ?

Nothing on inside has changed and only wheels on outside which is why there is a different photo.
