WR1 No. 500 For Sale

I have available for a very reluctant sale a Subaru Impreza WRX STI WR1.

The Subaru Impreza WR1 at the time was hailed the fastest and most powerful Impreza, it was built to celebrate Petter Solberg winning the Driver’s Title in the 2003 World Rally Championship. It features a power upgrade to 320 PS plus a host of technical and visual upgrades and cost £29,995 on-the-road and there was only 500 being built and all would be individually numbered.

This car is rare as it is and mine is very unique as my individual number is 500! This car has had one owner from new, ME!

Image

My car is tax and tested for the next 6 months, has approximately 58K miles on the clock and has a FSH relevant to the mileage.

My car is in good condition and has minor modifications in which the car can be returned to standard if required as I have retained a lot of the standard parts. Items I have fitted are as follows:

TSL Firestorm rear exhaust
Straight through center section
Performance panel filter
Air filter snorkel removed
Polished straight air filter panel
Radiator slam panel
Performance re-circulating dump valve
Automatic inter cooler spray (boost activated)
Qty 3 Defi Gauges (Boost, Oil and Exhaust temperature)
Pioneer head unit (Sat Nav, DVD player) and 6 disc changer
Tein bonnet struts
Prodrive mudflaps

This is a very genuine reluctant sale! I love this car but due to the current financial climate I can no longer afford to run/ keep this vehicle. I am open to offers around 12k and viewings are welcome (I live in the North East).

If you are serious about purchasing this car you can either private message or contact me via my mobile 07921254611.

Honestly guys do you think that is cheap?

I looked at a few wr1's for sale and thought that 10K was a pretty fair price. I would love to get as much as possible for my car as I really dont want to see it go, I love it! I think I will cry the day it drives away.

I would stick the car up for £12,495 and see what offers you get. Start high then meet in the middle rather than starting low. Im no car salesman but ive never paid asking price for a car.

I've been in debate on putting my 1 (438) up for sale too for the last couple of weeks, 40500 miles, standard and full history etc, I was only thinking 10.5-11k

It's all very well people saying to raise the price, but have you had any offers at £10K?

No most offers so far are around the 9k, they have not even seen the car so not sure how genuine these offers are. I know how it works though everyone whats something for nothing!

I know I prob wont get 12k but I may get closer to what I need then if I left it at 10k.

Contemplating putting it on pistonheads! Can anyone comment, does this website shift cars?

The climate at present is slow for selling second hand cars, the new car market is booming, must be all that credit on offer...... If you need a quick sale and cash is needed quickly sell for around £9000 to £9500, if you can wait it out? then the higher price stated is your starting point. As i have said before there is a buyer for everything, and if you car sticks out from the croud ie other WR1's then its sold

I sold mine in 5 days on Pistonheads but I wasn't greedy. I got what I wanted for it £12k (47k miles) circa 2+ years ago. If you go higher, I'm sure there will be a buyer out there but you are likely to be waiting a long time as those buyers will be few and far between. It would have to really stand out for some reason and appeal to that person with the right money.

Good luck with the sale, it's your car and you can do what you want with it! We all have opinions, it's only yours that counts here.

In my opinion, these cars are worth more standard.

Put it back to standard - put the car up for 10k ono. looking to take around 9.5k and make another 1.5k(ish) from the parts to sell.

I can't imagine you'd have any issues selling the filters, centre section, rear box, headunit and Defi's. I for one could be interested in the Defi's and the Prodrive mudflaps (depending on condition) for example - as well as many others on here or Scoobynet I'd imagine.

If you've had no offers of 10k then that kind of says what the market is like, so raising the price will be fruitless (again in my opinion)

All depends on the individual really.

The person that bought my car was glad of the modifications it had as it was everything he would have done to it anyways.

Your car was better when you sold it than when it left the forecourt with 0 miles....
