Erm I see - well let me know where it will be Part Ex'ed -

Also let us know - I'll pop over onto SIDC too now - find out the score - do you get quite a few turning up down Oxford way?

How many miles has that other one done?

You see quite a few WR1s with 100000 plus miles nowadays.

will do - but if they auction it, then i'm going to keep everything i can lol! at the moment they say it's going to a specialist over in Bedford.. i will confirm :)

my mileage is 62300 and fully documented and mint :)

i normally have a couple of mini meets a year by the river in Lechlade, normally get 5-9 of us - nice and easy meets :) the one at the evenlode will be a new idea, but it'll be my last planned one... although i think SIDC will allow me to hang around ;)

Well if it does go to BMW tell them there could be someone interested - I can see a three way swap coming on here.

If its going to a specialist in Bedford perhaps that could be Hurst Cars???

Thats in bedford and thats a specialist for Subarus.

BMW's are fooking shite

Mr's 330d indicator flashing really quickly as if a bulb was gone... not !
Footwell module which is a ecu to control lights(common fault on all bmws), £650 at dealer to repair, £500 at specialist, so it went for the dealer last tuesday to be done, 2 hours labour then leave car for 12 hours while ecu software is updated. Got a phone from dealer on wednesday saying while ecu was updating it blew another module that controls the i-drive telematic system, so was expecting them to say not to worry we will foot the bill,....will they fook another £275+vat although they wont charge labour. There reason for this is because it is a older car the latest software will not download and sometimes will the module that won't accept it to go, although it normally happens on 5 and 7 series.

Dealer sympathetic with me but BMW policy state this issue is down to customer to pay if car was not brought from dealer....remind first thing in the morning to ring customer services

Brother in law got a 330D about a year ago, very expensive to maintain. Had to do the cowel flaps modification on the engine. Then the CD starts randomly changing so books it in thinking quick fix, which it wasnt. Then the i-drive started forgetting settings. Turned out to be a bare wire in the boot causing a short out or something affecting the i-drive?!... then this week his car has been recalled due to the boot issue having paid all the money to troubleshoot n repair it.

When it works its very comfy, torquey and lovely car to be in. When it goes wrong expect a big bill. He was saying that M3's are normally 2x or 2.5x the price of the 330i and 330d parts too so they must be steep. Clutch was £2k in M3, £900 in 330 for example + fitting.

My cousin had a 335d coupe. It never went wrong but it did get stolen once... fortunately it was snowing and the traction control wouldn't allow it to move more than 100 yards.

I know servicing used to cost him a fortune, as did tyres!
There are no stupid questions, only stupid people.

They are fine if you can afford to run them or get them on finance with service included etc. :)
