Postby LeeT1982 » Wed Jun 08, 2011 12:25 pm

Well what can i say totally f*cking gutted got to sell the wr1 due to issues out of my hands, the car has a full subaru service history and had the cambelt and all the diff oils and an oil change 2 months ago, it has been debadged and detangoed also has a green cotton air filter fitted recently, so service wise its spot on. Will be having new tyres fitted and new front discs and pads also as these need changing but this will be done prior to the new owner collecting has had a recent plate change also to T13 WRC the car has covered just 17,909 miles currently looking for for £13,500 pics to followhttp://s874.photobucket.com/albums/ab308/smoto16/wr1/

Hi,

although new to the forum, I've had a plethora (anybody who doesn't know that word, just go on YouTube, type it in followed by 'The Three Amigos', sit back and giggle) of performance stuff inc an original low-mileage Audi ur quattro, TVR Chimera 5.0, Sierra RS500 with tiny, tiny mileage, and a mint classic Impreza Turbo.

I'm looking for a car to put a smile on my face, but the ability to carry family in; Woman, my other half, is geetting a new BMW X5 or a Range Rover Sport for her new job as a Dealer Principal at a Prestige Car Marque.

Are there any images of the car available, what does the service history comprise of (eg stamps in the book, receipts etc) etc

I am definately interested (the main reason I joined the forum, as I want a WR!)

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome; the names Andy, but my wife calls me... well it's unprintable!

The Classic Impreza, RS500, ur quattro and TVR are all historic; i.e I did own them, now gone due to impending business venture (and yes, I will reveal all when its up and running!) but I'll endeavour to find some images of the cars and post them in the appropriate forum.

My interest in the WR1 is I've always made sure I get the best car available of whatever make/model I'm buying (hence the 10k from new RS500, the low mileage ur etc) and thats why I'm looking for a low owner/low miles WR1.....

Hi,

sorry if I sound confused, but within the site I searched for 416 and came up with this;

http://www.wr1oc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10581&highlight=416

which suggests in 2009 416 had done 40k?

Am I mis-reading this, just plain stupid or what???

Hi rtz62 yes 416 has that thread about it because somebody on here said they owned but they owned 412 clearly not all that bright, i had the same trouble when i looked at buying this car originally too which i started that thread and one of the owners on here actually called the guy, the car is a genuine low miler with only 2 owners, i will sit down tonight and email the pics that i have and all the details of the car also, the car wont be ready to go until the end of or beginning of next month as its booked into have the wheels refurbed as the paint is flaking on them along with new tyres

Thanks for the prompt clarification!

Nothing worse than inaccurate information which can adversely effect the provenance of a car. :)

Quite correct Lee. The owner was shocked (but polite) when I quizzed him about the mileage for his car. AS YOU WILL HAVE READ BY NOW, it was genuine as it was someone else who appeared to have made the mistake.

Just for info, I was sent an email from the owner with photos of the service book etc......... ALL IS UP FRONT with this really good example of a low mileage ONE.

That's why Lee bought it Andy !

Thanks for all the constructive comments above people.

If anyone is interested I was trying to help him make a sale.

These cars are not the easiest to sell and as you have pointed out above mine took a long time to sell, 6 months to be precise so YES I do know the perils of trying to sell one of these cars.

If you re-read my comments I merely suggested that a better advert with some pictures may help in his quest as the few lines he had put didnt stand out enough, there are loads of these cars for sale but very few with the mileage mentioned above so use that to try and sell it.

Any personally comments were just my own thoughts as a potential buyer for any car not just this particular one.

It seems that you really cant help people or have an opinion on this forum anymore.

GLWTS the sale matey hope you can sell it soon enough and Im sorry for hijacking your post.
