MrNeale.

Do you own the infamous #467?
Can you explain the irregularities concerned?
Have you had the car clocked?

Just to be clear MrNeale, did you send me this PM too?

Thank you for joining me to the forum.

I am now the owner of wr1 467 which is still for sale on this forum by a previous keeper but people are questioning why it is for sale in two different places by two different people and for such a length of time. I have been trying to sell it for sometime and people are worried as to why it is been sold by 2 different people.

So could you please remove all the post with my car in them. I have only found 2 but i am sick of people asking why it has been for sale for so long.

Thank you
Kind regards

its easy to get the car clocked, all you have to do is get it put back a 1000 miles after the previous MOT or service, its just plain stupid if you knock it back further than the MOT or service says

to that guy that posted the gay comment about no-one on hear having a clue or owning a wr1,i think you need to get a grip of yourself A.S.A.P
its clear there is something wrong with the mileage and the guys on here just stated this,i cant recall anyone slag the car off atall, muppet

unbelievable that someone would go to this length to get an extra few hundred quid on a sale. Somethings clearly a miss with this car, i agree think all should stay well clear. A Notice on scoobynet would be wise too to warn potential buyers on there.

purchase

Postby sleightbce » Sun Feb 26, 2012 9:41 pm

hello,

im purchasing 467 next weekend. after a week of phone calls to vosa and subaru ive finally got to the bottom of the milade decrepancy youve noted on previous owners. Its been confirmed that all documents are correct and tally up with the history of the car. serviced by subaru every year and tallies up with there system. They have no reson to expect any milage alterations. This is the same from vosa who have inspected the clocks themselves and any ecu error faults that can sometimes occur. They have given the car the all clear. With the milage of 43218. This has gave me the confidence to purchase and collect on friday. Im just wondering if u could please alter the history you have in order for when it comes round to sell it. That it doesnt effect me after the hassle ive had to sort it. Not that im planning on selling it anytime soon its a beautiful car.

much appriciated

regards sleightbce

To alter any history on this vehicle, I think you will have to prove the mileage discrepancies... A post won't be enough to clear this up.
[Just incase this gets lost in translation, I am not slandering you, I know people can be sensitive to these harsh words.]

History on a vehicle is just that, something people can look at and see any good or bad points about a vehicle before buying it. If there have been suspicions about mileage or anything else to do with the car then I think its right that this stays in the public eye. If you have some proof to scan in that can be linked to the history of the car for all to see then this can be added to the history so that people can make their own judgement on the validity of it. I still don't think removing old history on a car that has clearly raised a few suspicions is the right thing to do for any of the cars.

Yep, honesty is always the best policy. Lets keep it in the PD. Most if not all prospective owners will Google (or otherwise) this site and try to find out the history of their prospective purchase if it is known.

All this latest contact did was make me clean up the thread and put 467 in the title so it stands out more. Oh, and remind a few other forums about this car.

sleightbce would like to see prove before any editing of 467 !
But has JMc has stated cars have had the wrong ltd ed no.

467 had 37k's in 2009, 40k's in 2008 and now 43k's in 2012 !!!!

So all I can say is why buy a car which has these failings when there are several examples for sale with proven history.

So require proof before editing, even then I still feel it should still be left for all to see !

Opinions fellas !

It will remain on the forum. I spoke in detail with two WR1oc respected members when this first came to light. This car is wrong.

I have got suffcient documents to prove that everything legit. wr1 bro can u please provide evidence to state otherwise. You dont have any just a thread from a third party. ye that proves alot. ive spoke to dvla and they have got in contact with the previous owners and all there readings came back to tally up. unfortunetly they wouldnt give me contact names or details. cos beleive me id be contacting them to see what the hell has gone on. i understand what ur saying about keeping this thread but if ive proved otherwise why keep it on. who says its not a genuinie faults that one of the previous owners have done. im willing to defend this car as i have proved it is legit. im sure this could be taking further as u have no physically evidence to prove otherwise

sleightbce, in your original post you stated you thought you were buying 357 even joked about the 356 that was clocked, and end up with 467, which rightly or wrongly has dubious history.....are you 100% sure 467 is the one your buying ?

Current owner had the car off the road from Jan 2011 till now having only purchased it at the end of Oct 2011 months previously?

He also gave you the wrong build number?

Buyer beware?
