Regrettably No347 going up for sale....

Postby No347 » Thu Jul 30, 2009 8:57 am

It is with great regret the time has come to sell my WR1 (No347)
With a new baby on the way I have to make room for the extension on my house.
Seeing as I have four cars and the other half only the one it had to be me to sell one off.

I’ll be very sad to see it go as it’s given me nothing but pleasure. But I tossed a coin and the WR1 lost out.

The car has been very well looked after by me and its previous owners, never been tracked, rallyed or raced.
It’s been my daily driver up until this week and is now in storage awaiting a full clean up for its next owner.

I’m listing the car here first and once she’s been cleaned I’ll list on Pistonheads.

So now for some details.
It’s on a 04 plate.
Covered 30K miles.
HPI Clear with documents to prove this.
Has full Subaru or Subaru specialist service history with the last service less than 750 miles ago.
It has good tyres all round.
Tarox G88 disks and Tarox rally + pads all round.
Hayward and Scott centre pipe and back box.
2 Keys with 2 Clifford fobs.
It’s fitted with a Clifford G5 alarm system.
RAC Trackstar.
Has loads of receipts and history.
Comes with the all important WR1 items. (Tax disc holder, plaque on centre consol, service book, keyring and mats)
It’s taxed until FEB 2010
New MOT
The Car will be sold with a few extras which I never got round to changing.
These are –
Brand new WR1 mats (still in the packaging)
New Prodrive centre caps.
New STI gear surround. (Purchased only because there are a few light scratches on the one fitted to the car at present)
New WR1 gear knob. (Purchased only because there are a few light scratches on the one fitted to the car at present)

I’m looking for £13950.00 ONO
Other than the discs, pads and exhaust it’s completely standard.

Happy to answer any questions you might have. Please bear in mind I am not a mechanic.

Please - no test pilots, no tyre kickers, no dreamers or canvassers.
Test drives will only be permitted with valid insurance. (I’ll be happy to drive anyone interested)

Serious buyers only please.

I’ll be very sad to see it go but needs must.

The car can be viewed by appointment only. Evenings and weekends at my workplace in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Pictures below are a mix of when I first had the car and a couple more recent ones. More pics will be added and listed on pistonheads once the car is clean.

PM me if interested and we’ll exchange numbers.

Sorry to hear that mate....surely the 'other' cars aren't as special..

Its worth buying just for the key ring alone! Fancy selling this seperatly??

Good luck with sale.

Hi Caveman, to be honest all my cars are special in one way or another.
I was thinking about doing last in first out but in the end I tossed a coin to decide. It was the only fair way.

I'm afraid I will not be selling anything off in parts, I want the next owner to have everything with it as it seems so rare to find a WR1 with everything it should have came with.

It is indeed a very sad day but as above needs must and all that.

I have a V3 STI Type R - this is my baby, completely stripped down and rebuilt and is now totally immaculate. (Not all my work I must say)
Just taken delivery of a 22b this one it sat in my garage only arrived last week.

Both these cars I sourced and imported myself from Japan.
(I work in imports and exports)

Then I have the beaten up Citroen which is the dog car. It sounds stupid but it probably the most important one of all! :o

And of course the WR1

I did genuinely flip a coin to decide which one had to go including the 22b which had taken me over 2 years to find!

I bet your most interested in my monster Citroen.......or maybe not!

I'll upload some of the type r to photobucket soon. The 22b won't been seen for a while as it's in urgent need of a good clean up. It's not in great condition at present! I'd say it's been sat for a good few years untouched and uncared for. Really bad to be honest but then I guess it's last owner didn't care for it at all I really can understand why but his loss was my gain!

Pics and mod information would be cool.

Remember, even when the WR1 is gone, the WR1oc still loves you.

Cheers guys, I'll make sure you get a few pics on the other soon as.
And the 22b soon as it's in a fit state (I'm guessing it's about 6 months work)

I'll not be leaving the WR1OC hopefully one day I'll return to ownership of the 1 its been an amazing car which i will truly miss.

Hi there, I travelled about the same when I first purchased it.
Well Kent anyway so maybe not quite as far. My old man always said to me be prepared to travel to find the car you want.

If you don't have any luck keep me in mind there is always a deal to be done with the right person. Plus I would love for an enthusiast to buy it than some chav!

I would love to James but it's really in a bad way, I'll promise to do some before and after pics though when it's finshed.

It's good to see someone as conscientious as you keeping all the bits together  I'd be interested if I didn't already have my eye on a local one. If things go pear shaped I may well be in touch although it's a bit of a trek from where I live :( Good luck with the sale though :thumb:

Cheers Venkman, Guernsey would indeed be a mission to where I am.
Bear me in mind though if not all goes to plan. Otherwise good luck with the hunt. :D
