WR1 217 for sale

Postby Sabre150 » Tue Jul 21, 2009 5:50 pm

Hi

The time has come to sell the WR1. I love the car but also fancy a change having had it for over 5 years.

The basics are:-
No 217 of 500
04 plate and almost fully standard apart from Whiteline ALK, braided brake hoses and harder compound pads.
1 owner from new and FSSH.
47K miles
Body in overall excellent condition apart from the odd minor supermarket dink.
12 months MOT
All tyres half worn Eagle F1's
HPI clear
Looking for £12700 OVNO
Based in North Wales

Thanks for looking

Gus

Is it just me? maybe I looked for one too long, or does everyone else get the urge to buy every WR1 they see for sale?
I can't help myself. If I had the money I would have about 10 by now!

Yer if i had the money i'd buy another wr1 with low miles,
Then i just keep it in my garage to take out every sunday
clean it and put it back,

There's a guy on rsoc who has just bought a frs mrk 1
unregistered with 280mile on the clock,

Hes going to keep it and register it in a few year,

So it would be a mrk 1 frs on a 2012 plate 8)

Would be nice to find a wr1 unregistered,

Sorry to hijack but your car looks tidy,

Good luck with the sale

Just a quick update, Fitted a pair of brand new shocks on the rear this weekend. It had started to clunk a little at low speed, and new shocks have sorted that out. Ride is also improved. KYB ultras, pretty much the same as original, which have always been fine for me!!!

Could you give us all the FULL spec (part numbers, supplier and prices if poss) as I asked Camskill to get the right part from KYB and their technical dept threw a wobbler when they realised that we have a GD as part of our chassis number and got totally thrown by it.
Camskill ended up saying that although they sell the KYB shocks, they could only supply me IF I GAVE THEM the part numbers of the original ones !!!

YOU could help us all with a bit of good info here !

It was infact camskill that supplied them and I was given the run around slightly (to be fair I think they were just being doubly cautious). I had to supply chassis number and year of build. In the end, the part numbers mentioned in another posting a while back were correct. If you look at the Kayaba UK site, its listed under sti but doesnt mention WR1. It does mention 320PS and as the WR1 is the only official 2004 model with that power it had to be it. I think they were about £203 or there abouts delivered, and took about 2 hours to do both sides. Not a very difficult job really. Way better than the £650 - £700 most seem to be paying to have them changed at the garage. Jack Up, remove wheel, remove 6 bolts to remove back seats and then only 5 nuts and bolts per shock.

http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 2696p30223

http://kayaba.co.uk/catalogue.asp and select Subaru GD GG and then 320 ps

Hope that all helps
