Bit expensive as a car. For that price you get 997's at the moment and the build quality of the 996 inside really is a let down.
Agree it is well specified, but options have zero value at resale.
Somewhere 22-24K would be more realistic.

I think you need to check the market for these cars. the dealer he bought it from has offered him 29k for it

Only 3K more selling himself ?
Why does he bother? He could go back to the dealer and get a good deal on a new one ! Way easier.

Only 3K more selling himself ? Why does he bother? He could go back to the dealer and get a good deal on a new one ! Way easier.
read above, he has been made redundant, therefore doesnt want a newer one! He will take the dealer offer unless someone else wants a good buy for slightly more.

Having checked the prices - regularly - he should bite the dealers hand off cos that's a good price.
As swede states, an '05 997 C2S can be had for £35k now.
