Hello from Scotland...

Postby Clark » Sun Apr 13, 2008 10:37 pm

Hi guys,

I've been a lurker on here for a good few months now but figured i better sign up as i finally bought a WR1 at the weekend :D

As you can probably tell, my name is Clark and i'm from Aberdeen. I'm a Professional Car Detailer for a company called Polished Bliss and i'm 23 years old.

This was my car before the Impreza:

And this is my new pride and joy as of Yesterday (pics are off my phone)

The car has done 12,000 miles and is generally in excellent condition but i plan to do a full detail on it in the next few weeks to rectify a couple of bits to get it perfect :)

It's also staying pretty much standard except for a front splitter, mud flaps, DVD head unit, some gauges, HID conversion and possibly i'll de-tango the headlights 8)

I have to say my first impressions of the car are very very good. My Leon was tuned to 270bhp and was no slouch but even if you take transmission losses into account, the "1" feels like it's in a different league all the way through the rev range, and the handling particularly on wet b-roads is incredible :D

I'm sure you'll be seeing plenty of me on here from now on :P

Welcome to the forum Clark. The Leon looks mint. Thanks for posting. One assumes you will grace us with before and after pics of the WR1 to show what you can do?

Welcome Clark. I've heard many things about your work - mainly mates sending me links to your threads on DW ;)

Very nice example you got there. Similar mileage to my own. They are awesome cars. I came from a P1. The Leon was stunning.

Hope you enjoy the WR1 just as much!

8)

Also, definitely go down the de-tango route! Makes a big difference!

Hello Clark, welcome on board!

Good purchase, it's a great car. :thumb:

And that's another 'One' to the Scottish Clan then. We'll soon be in double figures up here in the 'shire!!

A get together must be 'on the cards' sometime.
