hey all, just bought wr1 and was thinking of getting decat, anyone know the bhp gain and more important what kind to get also price? thanks...simon

Depends on which system your after or a 2.5" or 3".
Plus the remap, which I guess is the 1st time, so you'll need to get a licence to enter the ecu .

The gains could be from 20/35 bhp depending on the exhaust system,
also a caik with give another 5/10bhp......but then when do you stop

To the best of my Knowledge a WR1 only has one Cat. and that's the prodrive sports cat. in the down pipe.

So a lot of money for a very small gain.

Yep thats right & exactly my thoughts aswell. Plus the hassle come mot time for emissions.

Its worth doing just for the added "growl"

Why not just fit a back box

thanks. im very happy with performance however my friend has focus rs with around 280 bhp and not much difference. off line i have advantage and towards higher speeds i gain, so wanted abit more power thats all. maybe save up and look at other mods
