New Member to club and WR1!!

Postby slowedscoob » Fri Oct 05, 2007 10:03 am

Hi all,
Being a little pre-emptive here but i should be collecting my car at 1600 today!!! :D :D :D
Owned a Scooby until engine bottom end went about 3 weeks ago, (pics below) as luck would have it I happened upon a Subaru dealer who had a WR1 in, but not on the forecourt. And i am now about to collect number 505. At first i was confused as there is only supposed to be 500, however, Subaru have told me that they didnt make any edition number with 13 in it. So no 13,113,213,313,413. which i suppose makes 505 the last number? is that right?

Welcome, mate !!

Love you nickname ! I was always the one blamed so far for having the slow scoob here

As for number, 505 might well be the last, although when I calculate, I only come to 504.

Vaguely heard Solberg had 000 and Mills had 001. That means for 500 cars, we should get 000-499. Take the 5 numbers with 13 out and it means you need to go to 504 following this logic...

That being said... The Maltezer 1mposter probably faked himself a number too...

A warm welcome from me too ....T'was great to see the video. CHEERS.

I notice you havn't got the tax disc holder which was issued with the car.

If you fancy getting hold one one (Albeit the engraved number on it won't say 505) there's a very rare chance to buy one on Ebay at the mo.

Welcome to the club. :)

The car used on Top Gear was the pre launch press car ragged by several motoring journalist. I have two magazines featuring that car in road tests.
Car magazine issue 502 June 2004.
Evo magazine May 2004.
I am guessing this car did not have an edition number at the time and was given 505 after the official production run.

I'm sure I have seen pictures of this car else where on this site. Maybe in pictures of events.
