Evening all,
What a steep learning curve buying an Impreza (first one).
However, took delivery of 318 last Sat. from Tewkesbury. Excellent car, thought it might keep turning to the right and go in ever decreasing circles but all is okay. Powerstation tweeked geometry and Litch tidied paint/ wheels etc. brakes not too hot when cold but cool when hot must be the colour. Driving is a pleasure again.

Regards to all
from S. Herts.

Indeed. The former owner was sure taking very well care of it and treating the mechanical bits with lots of respect.

Try putting more negative camber at the front if the car pulls to a side. Also helps turn in.

If it turns in decreasing circles, it's because the central diff works well releasing itself to make it more agile at turn in. The passive diff on the STi wouldn't do that and you got more understeer.

Brakes on STi's behave like competition brakes, especially when cold. You got to hit them to get any proper action.

Don't get them too hot though unless you're running proper 5.1 brakefluid. Doing a 10 mile B-road rallystyle will guarantee you some 'scary moments' towards the end. Especially when you approach that corner at 120mph and the middle pedal goes to the bottom without anything happening

PS: If that happens, release straight away and start pumping the pedal.
