Had mine since May. Still think it's the best of the 4 I've had (98, P1, STi8, WR1), but still playing.

IMHO, the WR1 has the best bits from the P1 and the STi.

It's a far more comfortable ride yet has more grip, like the sti, but can be steered with the throtle, like the P1.

The turn in on a trailing throtle is better than either of them though, which I'm informed is a result of the DCCD-A.

Anyway, the WR1 is cheaper to finance than the STi and cheaper to insure than either the STi or the P1, so what's not to be happy about?

How do you get on with Low Down Torque with the WR1 compared with the P1 ??

Do you find that the WR1 spools up far later than a P1 ? Making the P1 more rapid from the standing start - From Idle ?

Asking this because i owned a Type R vs 5 before the WR1 and the typeR from a IDLE situation just flew off the start where as the WR1 - From Idle is rather a slouch ?

Thanks for the reply Josh. Interesting point about the insurance.

Does anyone think the insurance companies will catch on and adjust the premium for next year ?

As for lack of low down torque, I know what people are saying but I find it helps me drive at reasonable speeds around built up areas and keeps fuel economy reasonable when you want to. I'm not interested in blasting away from traffic lights. Mid range is where its at :D

HI Josh welcome to the site M8.

Re the Insurance , I am with Subaru Insured, they using group arma, I Insured my STIPPP with them. Group arma only insure top performance cars and had pre rated both the STIPPP and WR1 before they were available. It aws chaeper to insure these than my bugeye with some mods by the tune of circa

It's not only tha age and car you drive, but it's about keping the licenec clean, not so easy in these cars. Just abot got rid of the points etc on my so now got to keep it that way so my premium does'nt go up.

You will get there one day gangsta.
