Evening all newish to the forum. I'm after a 1 if anybody is selling. I want a straight original car if possible 70k (mileage) max with full history. If your selling let me know please and I'll come and have a look. I'm in Staffordshire but don't mind travelling for the right car. Cheers

What's the general view on higher mileage WR1's? Any issues, resale values etc....

I've had a high miler before, no drama's, but things like suspension and clutch should be looked at. Impacts re-sale - yes, but you can pick em up cheaper in the first instance. I think there is an artificial threashold of 100k and then the price tanks so closer to that would diminsh the price. Depends what your going to use it for and how many miles pa you do. I'd always try and get a low miler for ease of resale. I sold my high miler to get a low miles version and the condition was night and day.

Strangely enough that's my game plan WR1 for 2 to 3 years then trade up to 911 turbo. Apparently at the moment I need a car that my kids can travel in with reasonable comfort!

Saying that I might just keep the 1 as an investment for the future grandkids!
