My classic was great standard engine, grooved disks all round with Red Stuff pads and silicon hoses had that for a couple of years.
The bugeye was good but everything seemed a bit softer... the steering had less Lessing feeling it felt slightly numb compared the the classic, it was also slightly slower. Again Red Stuff brake pads fitted with standard disks so the brakes were good.
The hatch was just a WRX and if I was honest it was not a good car....
The 2.5 engine was solid and never had a problem but what I found annoying was that the WRXS had the same engine but was a 1/2 second quicker to 60 and no limit to the top speed... And yet the WRX had a 130 mph limit on it!!!!
It is annoying to think that Subaru have programmed a car to be less than it could have been so that they could sell a slightly faster/powerful car for more money, but that's just the way it was....
The WR1 is great it sits on the road lower than a standard STI and handles like scalectric car no sliding or lose of grip in wet, the acceleration is breath taking 80 to 100 in sixth gear takes 7 seconds!!!!!
So I think I will have this car for a long time, I also have a huge record of history so it ticks all the boxes for me

Welcome mate my old motor :)

I sold it in February after 1.5 years of ownership an spent months finding the right wr1

The guy I sold it to only owned it for a few weeks before trading it in :( I believe his wife was unaware he was buying it , and she hated scoobys he must of got told)

I hope u got the folder with mountains of invoices, the car should of been serviced in April just a yearly oil change it needed,

That's the best car I've ever owned, it's running full 3inch system decat the 1st cat an map be good for 350
