Hi Wr1 Owners!

Postby Dayo » Sun May 06, 2012 11:39 am

hi,

After a hard 3 months of looking for a tidy Wr1, the search is over!

Picked her up from scotland, a 335 mile drive from mine! Worth every second it took to travel there and back 8)

i now own Number #039.

Was surprised on the fuel it used, i thought it was going to be worse

Glad you found one, as for fuel i didnt buy one for good fuel consumption, working on an average of 236 miles to a tank. I filled up when i brought the car, down to just above half tank and covered 77 miles    :crying: :crying: :crying:

Somebody is telling fibs
The WR1 be safe in the knowledge that, short of strapping yourself to an Acme rocket, there's no quicker way to get from A to B.

Was it on a trailer?

Check under the bonnet, sounds like you may have inadvertently bought a very rare diesel WR1

I would get it checked out by an independent subaru specialist asap. STI's dont get 335miles to 3/4 of a tank @ 70mph, thats WRX mpg. I know johns WR1 had a WRX turbo and map on it until he put the real deal VF35 turbo back on it. :?

Not sure of miles covered etc but I went from West Wickham in kent to Burnsford near Birmingham and had full tank V power when I left. Petrol Light was on when I arrived!.
Filled up with Full tank of V power (again!) before traveling home and light was on again by time I pulled on my drive.
I should mention at this point that I made up over 50 mins on the SATNAV's ETA........Enough said!! Enjoyable drive!!

Enjoy your new Car Dayo they are Gems!!
