The Corsa looks awesome. There was a lot of effort put into that... Not your typical Halfords bolt on crap.

Cheers me, no your right, there was far too much money put into that car, I had it from completely standard, spent 3 month in my local body shop calibre coachworks who at the time had some of the best feature cars in the uk, leather dash, 3 screens in the front doors and boot on solenoids, black paint with purple/green flip in it in the sun, I could have nearly brought a new Impreza at the time for how much that cost

i built a corsa like that (minus the sound system) years ago! its a good body kit but was a pain to fit and smooth in.

The corsa always was a love it or hate it car, some people saw it and took it for what it was, others always had to compare it to something else, it is what it is, a customised one off!

might be the choice of platform for a custom creation...
Like one that could actually move again, after all the weight was put into it.

I would suspect the platform choice would largely be decided by age v insurance!

Yea for sure these days a corsa sport is a bit of a shitbox, I'm only 27 now and had this car at 18 when it was 6-7 years old as the wr1 is today, I'm sure anyone will agree insurance for an 18 year old is horrendous, this corsa was fully declared when insured and as you can see from my list of cars for my age I'm not afraid to spend money on cars or insurance but like to have the best possible, the world doesn't start and stop at subaru imprezas as much as they are great cars!

Couple of small plans but nothing extensive, want a second set of headlights to have them de-tangoed (did it on my blue sti and loved the look), then front splitter, and when a rolling road day pops up have it on there to check standard power is somewhere close, cos of the low mileage ad the fact it will only do about 3k a year I want to be able to turn it all back to complete standard.

It has been a long time since a rolling road was run as part of the WR1oc. Anyone interested in giving it a whirl?

Wouldn't the cost of all of that be better put to use actually buying a better car to start with?

Not in my opinion no, this car had everything I wanted it to have (apart from speed) and I modified it over a couple of years as I earnt the money to pay for it, I don't do loans/credit cards, never have, so that way I had the car I wanted without oweing a penny on it.

Good attitude which I fully agree with too. If I can't afford it I don't buy it or finance it!!

There is something mildly poetic about massive wheels on a small car. Big hands small cock. Big feet small cock. Big nose massive tissues etc...
[Just incase this gets lost in translation, I am not slandering you, I know people can be sensitive to these harsh words.]

No matey our car was strait of the subaru production line, so I cant see how its a copy of a production car
However it was a mistake of mine to make look like prodrive/halfrauds
car, ie speedline wheels that are so poor quality it's untrue, eibach 25mm lowering springs, richbrook gearknob tax disc holder and stainless mess which are all readily available at halfrauds, piaa driving lights that are wired to work via a 5p connection block, lets not forget the WR1 cornflake stickers, then the ecu prodrive remap which didnt do as it said on the tin on a lot of the 500 cars, the prodrive backbox which iirc was made by scorpion . Sorry if I missed anything oh yes the extra 8 grand that was paid |
and you still aint text me your number ftacnut
