just posted in tech help section . got problem with heaters blowing cold when left on idle longer than 5 mins . doesnt over heat drove her back from durham to stoke-on-trent with temp needle sitting bang on half way even in traffic . heaters seem work red hot when revs are raised over 2k and water levels seem to be fine in expansion and resovior .

thanks for quick reply though . I hope she will do me proud for at least a year of fun anyway

Where are you based?

Might be worth getting a subaru specialist to take a look. I use Adam at Autotecnica in Buxton but there are others around the UK people use and recommend.

Hi matey, welcome to the club! Are you in Stoke-on-Trent too? There's GT Motorsport in Burslem, he does a lot of scoobies...

You won't be disappointed mate. I went from M3 to WR1 the main difference was the drive ability in all weathers esp wet! You won't notice any difference over 100 but you will below 100 and Defo below 60!! The accell is pretty brutal as standard.

Probably should point out that I used him once just after I bought the car to check it over. He told me my centre diff was knackered - turned out it only needed new tyres to stop the juddering and the rattling noise was the exhaust up-pipe heat shield. Took me months to find that one out!

I'm not saying he's no good, but he did seem pretty keen on getting my £1500 to take the gearbox and diff out to 'have a look' :x

Adam and Jamie at Autotecnica did my 60k service and clutch. Top fellas and will use them every time now, plus the drive out to Buxton is worth it.
