Hi all wr1 with pics

Postby Danjames » Tue May 24, 2011 3:17 pm

Hi everyone, thought I should register now because I get my wr1 august so I'll inevitably be joining sooner or later. I currently own a 206 gti 180 which will be sold in the next few weeks and then I'm buying this 2004 wr1 off a friend

I want it straight away but my freind needs it until the end of July so I'll get it for the start of august, I don't really mind because that gives me enough time to source and buy parts ready for when the car comes

The list is

Fmic with pipes
Coilovers
Carbon vortex generator
Carbon rear diffusor
Carbon front splitter
Fog light covers
Rota drift grids
3" exhaust system
Morettes

So the day I get the car I will have for sale

Standard wr1 suspension
Standard wr1 intercooler
Standard wr1 exhaust
Standard wr1 prodrive wheels
Standard wr1 headlights

What should I expect to get back for the above parts? Obviously I don't want to rip myself off but I would want them to sell quite quickly as the rota grid drifts will be the last thing I purchase so would like as much as possible to add to the rota fund lol

Any comments welcome and I look forward to getting to know you all

Firstly welcome to the club
Secondly the Morettes look gash on the blob eye IMHO, de-tango is a DIY job and makes a big difference to the look.
Thirdly why no rear flaps is this one of the few FWD wr1's
The WR1 be safe in the knowledge that, short of strapping yourself to an Acme rocket, there's no quicker way to get from A to B.

Leave the headlights and wheels alone, you'll ruin the look of the car!
Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...

welcome to the club! Doesn't look like it's got the numbered tax disc holder, make sure he has that, the key ring, the mats and a service history and you'll be happy as a pig in poo

Defo steer clear of the morette headlights, they look crap on the blobeye. Don't forget it's a limited edition car, give it a million horsepower, but keep it looking as standard as poss!

Welcome mate, if you are going to modify the looks then why not go for a non-ltd edition newage?

As Steveyk says, go for massive power but don't drastically alter the look otherwise it won't be a WR1
