Hi Toni and welcome to the site.

The WR1 only comes in the Special BabyBlue.

Each WR1 comes with its unique Number.

Prodive have made changes to the Handling / engine / exhaust over a normal Sti model

So they say..... ;)

Hi Toni :thumb:

Go for an 05 STI with PPP instead, more or less the same as the WR1 but with Spec C suspension set-up. And you can get it in a proper blue ;) :D

Super pictures Brian you all looked to enjoy it. I'm an indecisive person and one who take ages to a reach a decision when I'm clueless
Do they do an sti05 in babyblue?
Is the security good on Subarus as any car I'll get will be parked at Birmingham Int Airport on a regular basis

Thanks Brian and jaycee for your replies, it seems as if no-one else is willing to answer my questions, most unfriendly of them I might add :( I will ask elsewhere, but I don't think I will be getting a WR1 if this is what owners are like

I own one my Knowledge is not up to scratch, is all i can say is that it is a car well worth owning. Ive tested evos, TT, M3s, RX8s and R32s none felt as good as the wr1. Its feels well built and nice to drive on a day to day basis. When you own one you will find a respect among fellow drivers wich sounds sad but it feels good. I would recomend the wr1 any day.
If you can i would try to get to the RR day on the 18TH.
P.S dont be so hard on these guys they have been great to me, ive never chated on the internet before so it is was a bit strange at first, but now i look foreward to the banter.
You said it would be at the airport a lot, Your not a drug smuggler are you.
:toofunny:
WR1 any day....................... :woohoo: :woohoo:

I've decided against a subaru after being told they are easily stealable. I am looking at Evo Ralliart FQs now. I'm not a drug dealer I flit between UK & Sweden with my job

Subarus are quite difficult to steal as are most modern cars these days, as long as all the security features are being used correctly. There are immobilisers, catagory 1 alarms, tracker systems and chipped keys. So to nick a Scooby you need the key. No key - no car. Having said all that, if a car thief is determined enough they can get any car they want, so you have to make it difficult for them by using all the security features.
By the way, there's a beautiful WR1 for sale at Research Garage in Nuneaton, Warkwickshire with just 3000 miles on the clock. Do yourself a favour and buy it.

I've searched on the internet for Research Garage and their website doesn't seem to be working properly

I'm currently in Sweden so can't go and look until I am back in UK

Now Now !! thats not the attitude :x , some of us work as well, seem as if you don't know what you want :? , I would suggest the WR1 would be wasted on you, I would go to the dark side and stay there.

Well some of you may work but 18 replies and 132 views contradicts that somewhat. I have read a lot of the posts on here and it makes me wonder why so many people are selling them on when they are less than 12 months old. I think I would be wasting my time buying a WR1, they don't seem to measure up to my expectations. As I have the choice to spend my money on what I want, an STI with PPP seems a better option, so that narrows it down now

Toni,Stiff the STI PPP and get a standard STI then get it re-mapped by somebody like Bob Rawle, TSL etc. much better value for money and you'll get more horses :thumb:

Are you trying to confuse me even more, did you not say earlier go for an 05 STI with PPP?

LOL! No, not at all. I was givingthe 05STI PPP as a fair comparison to the WR1, the STI with custom re-map is better than both. :thumb:

500 cars sold from new , within a short space of time when they became available. Do we actually know how many have been sold by their first registered owner ? I would suggest 10/15 % but that would be a guess. Like you say , we all have our opinions and make our own choices, some people just don't keep cars that long, that way they may not suffer the full depreciation. Bare in mind that these cars are still holding good values compared to STI and other marques, so it can make sense sometimes to sell. You can include me in this group, it's my fourth scooby so i've not been in it for the short term. Car is great, IMHO value for money, one off colour, love or hate it, it gets people talking.

What are your expectations ? do you track your cars ? will you use the full power ? what have you test driven to make comparisons ?

A tenner says Millie has sold his car by the end of the year!

To play Devils Advocate, I would say, based on information from people who have sold recently or who are preparing to sell, the WR1 isn't retaining it's value as well as you'd all like.

I may take that bet !!

What I can tell you is that I have over the last 3 months I have test driven M3CSL , M3, 997 S, 996 TT, SLK 55 AMG and now waiting for the new RS4.

I have been unable to make a choice, this gets me thinking why can't I, it may be that the WR1 is so good to drive ! OPtion could be to start the modding process but you need to keep the car so get your money's worth from your investment.

Jaycee, I wished all scoobys held their values better, we would all benefit from this, but with the 2006 car coming and a good chance there will be a 2007 car lets all watch our values fall.

Have look on here, actual photo from a show, seems to very little differeent other that the alpha nose. Not the same as your picture, lines not the same. Read some where that it has not been well received, and given the bug eye disaster Subaru may well quickly bring out an 07 car. But as you would expect from any caring car manufacturer they will not tell the punter so we can buy and lose out again.

My expections would include to be able to modify to get more power
I did track my ex boyfriend's car which was a 400BHP Sierra Cosworth and entered Formula Woman last year and drove an RX8
I hope to use full power
I have driven Sierra Cosworth,Evo 6,RX8,Civic type R and various others, I want an all wheel drive car as a preference

jaycee how much is a custom remap?

I am back in UK for a few days but visiting parents and no chance to go and try cars out
