G'day.
Been looking at buying 282.
I was trying to track some history, and was looking for some input.
Far as i can tell, previous owner was Scoobysparks, who has gone off the radar after trading in for a Legacy.
Having looked at his posts, I came up with the following theory.
SSparks was going to do some heavy mods, (up to 400 bhp etc.)but then never went through with it, due to whatever.
All he managed to do from his list, was to fit an FMIC, before chopping the car in.
He removed the FMIC prior to selling, and put the car back to standard.
He also replaced the front valance, due to stone chips/bad paint job, and added a splitter.
Anybody knows anymore, I'd love to hear.

Thanks,
Arclight

Scoobysparks wasn't a well known element here.

Any things you think might be dodgy ?

Steve (Scoobysparks) was at DSA rr day last year, seemed a sound bloke.

This may help with history

Had a PM from ScoobySparks to verify mods - or lack of.
Spoke to the dealer who sold it on after he trade it in, and all seems kosher.
The lad who's got it now seems a little dubious, as he only bought it in July, and has been trying to flog it for a while!?!
Claims to be under threat of redundnacy, which is a fair point in these trying times.
He has somehow managed to break the bottom and one of the top mounts for the plastic expansion tank, and a bodge with some plasterboard screws and epoxy glue, wasn't fooling anyone.
The bracket looks like all part of the fan mounting assembly, and could be pricey........
Other than that, its spotless outside and in, with some surface corrosion on some bits, like the gear box housing. Reckon the dealer might have steam cleaned it or something. Just needs a bit of TLC in the engine bay.
All bog standard as well.
