Good day!

Hello all, not an owner of a WR1 or evena Subaru just yet, but I am tipping my hat on the various forums and keeping my options very much open.

I am toying with getting an Impreza Sti Version 8 but I am not ruling out the idea of a WR1.

I visited a garage yeterday and it had a Wr1 for sale there for £6995 - I kid you not! the only downside was that it had 120k on the clock, albeit one owner from new and an impeccable service history.

Anyway, I drive and have driven Honda Type R's for the last 5 years (3xCTR and a DC5) and am looking to change to the AWD and boost scene!

I am currently selling my CTR and when it sells I can begin shopping...

£6995 That's a mental price! Think this is definitely the time to buy!

Welcome and happy shopping!

there must have been a shower and toilet in the back as they must have been living in it to have done those miles.
and must be on first name terms with every petrol station in the country!!!
buy a wr1 mate
i decided to buy mine after 100yards i also came from an ep3 type-r civic. handling and traction on the wr1 is lightyears ahead.

I am torn between a few cars at the moment mate, I have owned 3 x CTR's and a DC5.

I have at the moment ideas of a P1, a subtly tuned Sti 8 and a Wr1

The P1 idea seems to be vanishing though after reading up it would appear to be a bit of a gamble as to whether or not the engine will go bang. Plus they are getting on now and some people are still demanding (imo) alot of money for what they are.

The hunt continues..

what about the FN2 type-r i am considering one of these myself as hardly drive my wr1 anymore , i think 500 miles in 5 months. shocking really its a waste of a car.
i looked at 2 P1s before i bought the wr1, lovely car but not the strongest engines i am led to believe and was a bit old for me for the price they were wanting.
there was a rb320 for sale for 18k in an independent garage south of the wall but it was bought (i think) by ian grieve falkirk and is now for sale for 20500! it had 30k on it that put us off it. there are some real bargains at the moment if you get lucky!

Hi mate, not interested in the FN2, it is somewhat tame and not my idea of the 'Type R' if you get a chance and are considering a change, then I would have a look at the FD2 CTR (Jap import) that is something special

So selling up then...?

sorry dude i meant the FD2 the FN2 is shite, far too tame.
the FD2 seems to be dropping very quickly in price one was under 16k on pistonheads a few weeks ago. i looked at a silver one with the full black interior very, very nice but they wanted 22k for it. i would have a low miles rb320 if i was going to spend that kind of money.
going to put mine up for sale in the spring maybe, i am considering not swapping and adding a few more horses to it.

Dont know if it helps but ive owned every jap heap under the sun, 8 impreza's including a WR1 and a P1.

On top of that ive owned atleast 40 other high performance cars.

I can answer this one for you, without the shadow of any doubt.

BUY A WR1

There you go Dotty..............!!

And in answer to your Q..........NOPE-- No regrets. Just glad to see the price of petrol dropping as I can only manage 200 miles to a tank full of juice and it's my everyday car.
