Chewing gum on seats

Postby Nick » Sat Dec 22, 2007 6:24 pm

I picked my daughter up from a party & the next day I saw she must have sat in some chewing gum - because it was on my back seat. I've picked off most of it with tweezers, but then stopped when I saw it damaging the fabric.

It's not really noticeable now - but the interior is otherwise mint. Any suggestions how to safely clean the rest out please?

Edited to fix typo

Thanks for the tip.

Any experience with this sort of product on black material?

Not on black material, but on carpet it worked a treat!

Thanks again, I'll try it out in a corner first.

A standard trick for chewing gum is usually to freeze it and chip it away. I appreciate this could be a little awkward!

you can buy a spray that freezes it, try a google search ?

Used to use it when I was a poor student working in the bar !
