Has anyone elses prodrive wheel centre caps gone all crapy? mine look Corroded but they are plastic! not happy!

A problem also may be using acidic wheel cleaner
like "wonder wheels"
So good old soap and water is best

Agree with Bro and 1mposter,
The powerfull wheelcleaners are good to shift lots of black stuff, but also eat into everything and probably lead to corrosion or the caps.
The Zymol wheelcleaner indeed is very gentle and efficient (and smell good).
I try to wax my wheels regularly. Even if it's just putting a quick layer of run-of-the-mill wax on, at least it protects and makes cleaning with soap and water easier.

Me too. The wheels are having Zymol wax next time because of how well the bodywork cleans off since it has had a couple of coats of Zymol wax. Tar splats just wash off without the need for polish. Since I purchased the wax I have not had to polish the car once. Hopefully the wax will work well on the alloys too.

I wax my wheels to. It seems to be working; there's no hair on them what-so-ever now!  Subaru alloys seem to be of the poorest quality you can get. The wheels on the office Vectra cleaned up very easily after about 5 months, far easier than the Scooby ones after 2 weeks. Too petty to be a traffic warden...

I suspect different brake pad compounds will have a say in this too!
