Refurbed PFF-7's

Postby Steveyk » Wed May 25, 2011 8:39 pm

A few pics after my wheels were turned from a black painted abomination to a beautiful powder coated pewter. Thanks to Top Marques wheels in Stoke! Acid dipped, sand blasted, two powder coats and a lacquer so smooth that water beads up and rolls off. I can heartily recommend them.

Just need some new centre caps, but they're like rocking horse poop apparently...

£264 but depends on the colour.

Dropped the car off (or you can send them your wheels), they remove the tires, acid dip, sandblast, repair any damage, and then two powder coats, one primer, one colour, powder coat lacquer on top of that, then fit new valves, put the tires back on, balance the whole lot and put them back on the car. A bargain really!

Centre caps are easy enough to get, you get them on ebay. I got mine from the main stealer.

Are the valves metal or rubber?

the valves are rubber by the way, not keen on metal ones, they're always difficult to clean

On another thread it says it is Lamborgini Medium Grey 226618. Might have to let the side down and have kerbed alloys.

Their colour is called "silver over pewter". Not sure if there's a code for it without looking at the invoice.

Looks pretty close to original to my eyes! The guys who did it can collect your wheels via fedex I think, might be worth ringing them. If not you'll see mine at Prodrive on sunday and see what they look like next to some others.

One day. Oddly, I've just had them done again at the same place, I fancied a darker colour. Once again, a superb job!

You might be better giving them a bell mate, especially if you're coming a fair way. Dropped mine off at half 8 and it was ready to go by 5. I'm not sure they have the actual original colour, I just picked one that I thought looked right!

Hi dont suppose you know what pewter and silver was used to do the refurb and what base colour they did it on - I have had trouble getting a match and the latest attempt was on a base colour of white which is wrong
