Good morning,

This LS 460 with a very unique colour was booked in over the w'end for a stage 1 paint correction. The owner had only just started ownership of this car and wanted a good base to maintain the car going forward. These were the pics upon delivery..

The vehicle arrived promptly at 7pm Friday evening. I started with hoovering the interior and boot, then treated the dash and all interior trim to some Poorboys

Image

Up early the next day, the wheels were cleaned using Bilberry and aggitated with brushes. The vehicle then had a pre-wash snow foam and rinsed off after 5 mins

The vehicle was then washed by hand with Meguiars Shampoo Plus and the 2 bucket method. Clayed with Gloss It mild clay, washed again and brought inside to be dried. Lower parts of the vehicle showed heavier signs of contamination

Image

It was extremely hard to show paint defects due to the colour, it was a metallic pearl that flipped to a blue/purple finish in the light. Hopefully you will get the idea

I used the Makita rotary and as the car was booked for a stage 1, therefore the plan was not to remove all defects but as many as possible whilst still retaining some good gloss and clarity in the paint, i went for Menzerna 106FA on a 3M polishign pad.

The bonnet was taped up

2 application of Endurance tyre gel and 1 application of wheel selant were then applied

The start of a new day, the vehicle was dusted down using last touch

Image

Dodo Juice lime prime lite was then applied per panel and buffed off

Image

The leather interior was then treated to Gliptone conditioner

Image

Finally 1 application of Victoria Concourse wax was applied and buffed off. Its a real shame the sun wasnt out yesterday to get the full effect of this paintwork, but sadly not. These were the final pictures

still amazed that you go to these lengths in cleaning it, but don't jack it up and whip the wheels off to get inside the arches properly and clean the inside of wheela and calipers...

or is that just me??

not questioning your work mate...I can see your flippin capable alright....bloody awesome stuff.

I guess its more the engineer in me...after all the hard work making it shine like that...I would want to see the underside and mechanical bits looked after too.

I always remove my wheels, spanner check the suspension, lube up every bolt and clean off any crap under there.

guess its different when its not your car.
