Ok. So I put my new (£18.00) Meguairs chamois leather in the shed damp. Now it's all mouldy. Do I have to throw it away or can I rescue it...?

I would have thought washing it out in some hot water would be okay?

Well I washed my Meguars Extra Large chamois in with all my other polishing rags etc and it was fine in the washign machine. I tumpledried all my rags after which all came out fine. I left the chammy on the side as I knew tumbledrying it would ruin it totally.

Unfortunatley, it turns out my missus thought I'd forgot to put it in and so she done me a favour and 'popped it in with all the others' when I was in the bath.

I got all my nice clean rags out and found a 4" square chammy leather in with them... Doh.

yes. Things like that always happen to me... classic example last night.

spent ages cleaning the car on Sunday night. spotless minus the 48" scratch along the side of the car.

Anyways, drilled 3 holes into the wall for my new security light last night, didn;t think to move the car. I now have a pink WR1 where the brick dust has blown all over it and no chammy leather to dry it after cleaning.

why me?

Quality PMSL

I had a similar situation last week. i spent thursday and friday cleaning and polishing, spent a good 24hrs on it in total.

then took it out for a spin on saturday and it absolutly hammered it down with rain, couple that with backlanes and i now have a car that doesnt look clean atall..
