SPINELESS!

Woke up this morning.

Got in the WR1.

Scratched down to the metal from the petrol cap to the drivers door door handle.

I had a bit of a 'to do' with a neighbour about a year ago, he didn't like me parking my works van outside his house (which is a public road). Had the leave the WR1 there last night as the missus had blocked our driveway. So I know it's him who's done it 90%.

Is a respray the best option or do these scratch removal companies do a good job?

I'd go for a hitman  What a b*stard! Not sure if it's down to the metal how good these companies are of hiding it, might be better with a respray?

If its down to the metal I think a respray is your best option

We have some similar issues on our estate with parking, some people really just need to get a life, if he'd done that to mine I would be knocking his fecking door down and making his life so difficult he'd soon be regretting it.....spineless TW4T

I'd estimate he's 60-65 :(

On basis of his age, probably do away with the pitbulls as he'd never make it out anyway....

One assumes this will be blended in?

£200 sounds good but you will not know if it is "good" until you see the final result.

It might be called "blowing" in. Basically you spray the area of concern and blow over the adjoining panels to hide the colour match problems.

Ok. Yes I know what you mean.

The bloke has just sprayed my splitter and the colour match seems to be 100% although it may be another case when the panels are side by side on the same plane.

I just spoke to him and asked how he was going to do it; he said he was going to coat it was a clear and 'flick' the colour in... it's booked in for next Thursday.

I really can't believe I'm having to do this.

Take some photos before and after for reference (from different angles) in decent natural light if possible....

I have it booked in next thursday for the respray. I managed to cut the scratch out on one door, so it's just two panels to be resprayed, might ask him to do the front bumper instead if he will...

£200 is far too cheap in my opinion. For a top class job I'd have expected nearer the 4/500 quid mark...

£200 sounds cheap for a respray that size... Also bare in mind the age and colour of the paint on the rest of the car. I know people that has sprayed various parts of their car and it stands out like a sore thumb as it looks too new compared to the rest of the car... like bro says you need it blending properly...

I totally agree with jonny and john thought... He needs to be taught a lesson!

A decent body shop will get the match spot on first time mate. Panels sometimes dont match due to the fresh paint having no defects in it compared to the rest of the car usually being swirled to f*ck and lacking any clarity

The bloke is a genius. There it absolutely no colour difference at all. I've looked in all different lights and it's perfect. Well pleased.

I'm well made up. It's just a shame that I had to have it done at all.
