I cant see anything wrong myself?? thread is titled correctly and was in the correct place until moved? Is also the original thread keeping in line with the "one thread per car" rule.

Mark,

As said, I moved it as it was still called something like 'my car'. With hindsight, I agree I might have moved this one too fast.

When you updated your thread, it came back to the top of the forum between two topics of new comers who'd completely missed the naming convention. (Don't ask me how someone misses the naming convention. You don't even need to read the guidelines. It just stares at you when you open up The Garage-section...)

I hence moved all three but didn't click to the fact that your thread still dated from before the moment we started cleaning this area of the forum up.

Anyway, thanks for renaming and my apologies for moving your thread temporarily with the others to the doghouse.

PS: Question though. How is the topic opener wr1.305 and the title says MarkyWR1 ?? :?

Did you do the headlights or exchange somewhere?

Dont mean to rub it in, but i just used a normal hot air gun. I have mine for shrink wrapping cables but I guess a paint stripper on low heat is ok too.

It's only the black mastic you have to gently warm up where the 2 half meet (making sure you take all the screws out first ofcourse!) then then thing nicely splits in 2. You will have to go around in circles to ease it away but pretty simple.

I wouldn't recommend the oven at all.
