It's all easy

Postby Mac-1 » Sun Feb 24, 2008 1:29 pm

After years of paying dealers to fit up-grades to my cars I have had a go at the last few myself  . The uncomplicated fitting of the front splitter a few weeks ago encouraged me to fit the front and rear strut braces today which went on with no problems; the front took about 20 minutes and the rear about an hour :thumb: . I am now feeling pretty smug with myself :woohoo: .

Next up-grade, rear AP calipers and discs 8) . Tomorrow the engine rebuild

Yep,

With my very own hands, mind you it was difficult getting the nails in but its all right if you don’t sit in the middle of the rear seat.

Nowt is wrong with it... It is all personal choice. Blitz was my choice on a standard car. Poesy is going to bang on about:-

1) mods that are purely for effect
2) keeping a limited edition car standard
3) dv sound chav...

Just ignore him Steve.

Hi Fraser,

Because in my stupid little world in the sky thought that they did a very professional job and knew what they were doing.

The reality is that a fair few Subaru dealers don’t but charge you as if the do. Having said that, I have leaned more from WR1OC members since I joined that has encouraged me to have a go at a few things myself. Joking apart, I wouldn’t tackle anything that will kill me if it goes wrong but little bits I will, why pay stupid money to a dealer who thinks he’s got you around his little finger.

Thanks for the nice comment WR1 Owner but you must get out more and have a look at some others.

Mine is nothing in comparison with some members 1’s such as Chris & Rosy B, Bro, Imposter, Zimmerman to mention just a few of my favorite 1’s.

Evo, please take note of the comments made by WR1 Owner, let me repeat his thread just for you.
