I ran it with vpower + methanol and NF and I can understand the fuss.
Will be moving this project on in a couple of weeks now that I have better boost control high up I am expecting great results. Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

Bit of info for you...you can download ecu-unlocker - free software again. It will allow you to read ALL parts of the ecu and will automatically unlock the ecu and all so called "protected" info done by tuners. I have done this every time the car has been mapped to look at what has been done. Crash bang wollop!!
linky linky ?

bttt for JD to whet his appetite
When I get the new engine and turbo in I will do some comparisons on that set up too to see if it makes as much of a difference with a bigger turbo Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

just had mine mapped on methanol yesterday, not been to collect yet, but the results are good.
originally runnning 416bhp & 350 lb/ft on V Power no running 446bhp & 370 lb/ft on 10% meth with a splash of NF (same boost level of 1.5bar) on the road gained 60bhp at 4000rpm and hits 1.5bar at 3250rpm!!! Cant wait to get her back now. 1mposter is my hero.
Disadvantages:
- corrosive - can attract water - conducts electricity - highly poisonous Have either of you addressed the issues above?
- corrosive - not with only 10% concentration, will not effect oe hoses
- can attract water - keep in sealed containers - conducts electricity - so does petrol - highly poisonous - follow COSSH regulations 1mposter is my hero.
I have a 2.5 sti crank for sale, forged as standard if you are interested?
Thanks for the offer.
But I will be going for a Cosworth built bottom end. Then get my heads flowed & ported. 1mposter is my hero.
Chop Chop, I dont want to leave you behind
does not bother me, good things come to those who wait.
it is all dependant on finances. got a few things planned this year. 1mposter is my hero.
tell us more
already removed front & rear seats and fitted buckets & harnesses, bought 2nd set of wheels shod with 888's for drag meets. Cage by end of year.
Cant go any further on extg motor though, so that will have to wait for the time being. 1mposter is my hero.
like I said - you can really tell the difference - great results Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

havent had the chance to drive her yet, but Martyns description was "very very fast"

The only reason why not is the parts and builders in this country can build you a stronger motor for lest cost, dependant on your aims of course.
Nothing wrong with Cosworth, other than the expense. If you are considering buying their CNC machined / ported / flowed heads as well then the price is simply.. If JP is Roland Rat, them I am Errol the Hamster... His number 1 fan.
was not going down the road of the cosworth heads, would get mine re-worked for alot less money.
Give me a run down on a cost from other engine builders then for a built short engine. 1mposter is my hero.
It depends what you are after, how much do you want it to support? 2.0L, 2.2L? 2.33L? 2.5L?

well seeing as the cosworth is a 2.5 and my turbo is designed for optimum results on a 2.5................i guess its a 2.5

JD is well aware that WE could build him a forged engine for less than the Cosworth unit , the decision to go with the Cosworth one is based on their years of experience building high quality competition engines....
The Cosworth heads are nothing short of a work of art and are doing great things on our GT35R'd car which will be in Jap Performance mag next month.....
