ScoobyMania's WR1Hello
Just been sent a link to this site - I didn't realize there was a dedicated forum for WR1 owners Thought we would share some pics of a WR1 we have just tuned. The brief for this car was for it to be tuned on normal unleaded 95 ron fuel (unfortunately V-power and race fuel not allowed) and for it to be a daily driver. Final figures are 554bhp and 530lbft. Any questions please ask away

Hi chaps, thanks for the welcome
How much? hmmm I'd have too check The motor is one of our Stage 3 units - a fully forged and sleeved 2.5L with custom combustion chambers, port work and cams - all built and assembled here in good old Nottingham. The turbo is a reworked Garrett unit with external wastegate (which is replumbed back to the exhaust to keep noise levels to a minimum). It uses our race intercooler core - charge temps never above 24c! The fuel system features a lift pump pumping to a swirl pot, then a Aeromotive pressure pump feeds the rails. Flows around a gallon a minute on full chat ECU is GEMS with switchable maps, anti-lag etc lots of other goodies, some top secret

Crash bang wollop!!
Nice work Mr Scoobymania and great figures!
A few questions if i may? Is this your own spec bottom end? If it is could you give details? Or are you using Crawford / Axis etc? I understand its a 2.5? Are you still on semi closed EJ25, or is a relinered closed deck EJ22? Is that a GT30 or a 35? and what boost are you running it at? Could i ask what sort of oil pressures you are runing at with a cooler up there and i assume some lengthy pipework. Have you had any problems with cavitation etc. on initial fill? I LOVE the hose clamps . Very different fron the Mikalor/Norma type etc. Where did you get them from if you don't mind me asking?
Go Marky Go Marky!! Holding the side up for the"numpties"to show we aint all muppets Crash bang wollop!!

LOL - you are certainly welcome to pop over and take a look marky mark wrote: Nice work Mr Scoobymania and great figures! >> Thankyou A few questions if i may? Is this your own spec bottom end? If it is could you give details? Or are you using Crawford / Axis etc? >> Yes this is our own spec bottom (and top) end, like I say speced and built here. We use Pauter rods with our own spec pistons/pins and ring gaps It is fully blueprinted (a very miss-used term!) with our own clearances. I understand its a 2.5? The crank and block oilways are reworked to take thes factors into account. I LOVE the hose clamps Cool . Very different fron the Mikalor/Norma type etc. Where did you get them from if you don't mind me asking? >> Hmmm, I will find out - I just know we have boxes and boxes full of them.
LOL, good point. Now that would be witchcraft
Spikey - when we going??
Marky Mark you are a god Crash bang wollop!!
Looks
A price on some of your packages would be a good idea ? And a price on the conversion Why is V-power not allowed ? The reason's behind 95ron fuel only ? 2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
they use similar hose clamps on mains water repairs.... go to a trent water board van an nick some 2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
The customer has yet to decide which route to take. Personally I would recommend a AP 4 or 6 pot kit, coupled with the KW variant 3 coilover kit.
We are in the process of developing our new website (which should launch within the week). All the power packages options and costs will be listed in detail This sort of conversion runs to around
I'll see what we can do, what do you call a piffling amount?
Thanks While 550hp doesn't exactly need shiny bits and graphics, I think it helps
What can I say, nice looking car, enjoy the glory,it WILL be short lived.
Oh,graphics look great by the way. Rosy B the most powerful 2litre wr1.
