OMG.....it's the type 25

Post pictures of your car and tell us the spec. It doesn't have to be a WR1!

Still giggling like a 5-year old child :D :D

Dan's pics are better than mine, but I managed to grab some. Frankly, I was so excited that I was shaking so these are the only ones taken with a steady hand (I used to be a TV cameraman, y'know)

I've had little chance to pop too many miles on the clock just yet, but here's my initial observations:

1. The engine package is simply unparalleled. I'm running in, so 4K revs is the absolute limit. But... it's SO SMOOOTH!!! The torque allows me to pull to speeds that I would normally hesitate to go to. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th are useless at the moment, but once you can get into 5th and 6th this is like sitting atop The Mallard as it steams its way cross country. Perfect balance, creamily smooth, with immense power. I didn't even spill my champagne on the leather on the way home!

2. Boost comes in ridiculously low (thanks to some clever ceramic coating amongst many other techy stuff), but its entrance is so inobtrusive it's almost like driving a normally aspirated car. But give it a tiny poke and this car changes from a useable shopping trolley to a missile.

3. My wife drives an Audi. When you turn up to the dealership you're greeted by polished chrome, expanses of wide-open space, and in the middle somewhere is a car. The experience is anodyne, clinical, and the guys working on the car are hidden whilst they complete their course on 'How to change engine oil'. Litchfield is professionally stretched, but the car is everything, the people are good, and I have greater confidence in my car than I have in my wife's Audi. I don't want to pay for an internet service at an Audi dealer. I just want a great car instead, and I'd place a lot more faith in the ability for knowledgeable folk to have a natter with me than an Audi mug with pseudo coffee thrust in my hand whilst whilst I look at mortgage-haemorrhaging prices in their brochure.

4. Pound for pound, I'm struggling to see a better supercar option.

Thanks for all the kind comments, guys.

Spike... Yes, I'll be there, but I can't leave too late as I have ickle Miss Henrietta Houdini with me. Mind you, I could just pop a DVD on in the car for her to keep her occupied

Jag... get yer name sorted for the Xmas Bash - we'll be doing a test drive extravaganza at Litchfield :D

WR1500... Brakes are good, but it's a matter of preference, really. There's no real difference in stopping power between them and the AP's. Granted the discs are AP, but the Porsche caliper has a different feel - it's like getting out of an over-servo'ed Audi and into a scoob. They do the same job but your face doesn't hit the windscreen each time you feather the pedal. However... my style is heavy (and probably too late) on the brakes so the jury is out on the softer-feel calipers right now. I think I still actually prefer the AP set-up, TBH, but I'm sure the family will be happier with the arrangement once we get the time to get them out in the car

Chris B is still the Daddy! Mine is the new girlfriend on the block - looks nice now but after a couple of months in my hands the bodywork will be dented, the alloys kerbed, the engine cooked etc. But the ol' girl will still want to put in an appearance whenever there's a chance.

I went to Manchester for meetings today, so there's 300 miles on the clock now. I was stopped three times by people so curious they had to ask what it was. Funnily enough, one of them thought it was an Evo

300 more miles tomorrow, but still won't be run in till next week at the earliest :(

Oh!... and by the way - the wife's 2001 Audi went for an MOT today, and it failed!! :gay:
