OMG.....it's the type 25

Post pictures of your car and tell us the spec. It doesn't have to be a WR1!

You didn't like the Type 25, Martin ?

How about a rally spec Evo 9 from Litchfields, completely rebuilt like a proper rallyslag

2.0 might not give the same power as the 2.5 of the scoob, but you'll surely compensate on weight. And with the shorter gearbox... Fraser, here he comes !!! The one and only....

It depends what you want, Chris :o I'll freely confess I'm a mechanical ignoramus, but I know a good car when I drive one and, more importantly, at a price that I can afford . That's what I've got. If I have to ask them seven times to explain what they just said I'm OK with it - at least they're not fiddling with the cappucino machine whilst they work out their uplift  .

They're not without their faults, but neither am I. I've got lots - one of which is I love cars.

BTW, how are your test drives going?

Indeed would like to see that.

A 500+ bhp scoob doesn't sound very useable anymore to me to go around corners.

The scoobymania WR1 is that car, and with the spec and turbo they are using its going to be 520-550 BHP.

I was speaking to Matt Clark at the weekend, think you will see some tweaks to Chris's car soon which will take it up to a similiar BHP  .

Its relatively easy these days to get 550 BHP+ out of a 2.0L scoob engine reliably. RCM are just doing a 600BHP P1 for a lad i know.

Easy that is if you have the money!

What happens to the handling ?

All that power is just useless in the hands of someone who can't steer his thing around a corner, if you ask me.

Fully electronical diffs like used in rallying would be great.

Ignore me, its a 2.5. not that this will give you much more BHP, just a big dollop of torque. currently at just under 560 BHP

I have driven a 490 BHP STi version 5 in a relatively standard chassis (better brakes though) and it was fine. Obviously you needed your wits about you but it behaved very much like my 405 BHP car.
