2004 Impreza STI WR1 - No. 287 - Steveyk

Post pictures of your car and tell us the spec. It doesn't have to be a WR1!

2004 Impreza STI WR1 - No. 287 - Steveyk

A few pics after a couple of hours with the bucket and sponge. I've been slowly removing the mods to get her back to standard spec. Next job is having the wheels refinished in Bright Flitter after winter has done it's worst. Already removed the boost controller, turbo timer and Bailey dump valve which was leaking boost!

I quite like the black wheels, and they have a red metal flake in the paint. Sounds awful, but looks great in the sunlight. I feel a strange sense of responsibility to get them back to standard though...

Very nice mate, I like th dark wheels but I prefer the silver ones on the light blue... Black on black (not talking porn) is best imo

The rims should not be bright flitter.

They should be pewter.( dark silver)

If you want to go back to original.

Is pewter the original colour from Speedline then? They always look different in photos, sometimes they seem quite dark and other times quite pale. Where have I got bright flitter from?

Steve,

Pewter is the standard WR1 colour.

My wheels are Anthracite - I wanted to get the paint code so I could have my splitter the same colour. After shed loads of phonecalls and emails I managed to get the paint code from speedline and the relevant paint formulations from PPG.

If you give speedline a call you should be able to get the paint code from them for the pewter.

If you do, please post it on here.

The paint code for the anthracite from speedline is 226618 and is actually Lamborghini medium grey.
