1986 Audi Ur-Quattro - 280

Postby Chris 280 » Tue Nov 10, 2009 10:58 pm

hi all ,(especially swede) dont know how to get the pic of the ur quattro from the documents part of the pwter as i,m pretty computer illiteret.but any way.quattro running bcosts were pretty similar to the wr1.quattro cost (in 1986 )£26000 ( i had the original invoice)the wr1 £32000.i paid £4000 for the quattro in 2002 with 155,000 miles!did 30,000miles in it didnt use any oil, still had fsh!tyres would last about 5000miles and were about £130 each,a service at audi £200 for basic.mpg was between 10 smiles per gallon to 30 driven very sensibly (about never times a year :D )insurance grp 20 but on a classic policy £400 per yr.new turbo £1100 .but this didnt get done as house took over so the quqttro sadly was sold  for ...£4000. :D .so it was decided one day i would have my reward one day for been sensible for once.(but not for long!)wr1 is quicker, better handling, not as comfertable, maybe a bit better looking but only just.all in all given the age difference and value of £ today,i think i,ve had a good replacement and still got a house, wife and 3 kids ,the bank manager isn,t too impressed but he can go f..k himself cause i got a bigger smile than him :D sorry for babbling on . :D :D
it is better to have had a wr1 and lost it than never to have one at all.

No, honestly? LMAO... I'm not taking the piss mate, it was the way you put it, made me laugh!!

Your location could probably do with checking though
