Cleaned / Polished the car today to give it some TLC before the winter weather sets in. These are some updated pics also showing the AP Brakes.

I can't take this seriously without a picture showing the claybar in your hand? You know, that same stance when you inspect the bog roll after the first wipe.

Come on Stu you know better than that... if im in any pics then the pics become about me and my good looks. I was giving the car a chance to shine for a while whilst I jump out of the spotlight

Yes mate I should have taken a before and after shot really. I use my car daily and on the motorway so the car front wheels are normally very black with brake dust and the sides of the car and the boot are caked in road rubbish that gets kicked up. Seeing the car is actually blue after that is good. Spent a long time on the wheels thought. After washing them I used wonder wheels to get the brake dust/tar bits off the corners of the alloy spokes then rewashed the wheels again to ensure all the wonder wheels was off. After that I then put some car polish on them and left it on 10 mins or so then took it off. Doing this seems to make them clean a lot easier and keeps them in good nick. Ideally they could do with refurbing because the previous owner didnt know the difference between a kerb and a road but theyre good enough for me for now..

After washing the car twice, drying it and getting rid of the fly engraved bodies on the bonnet and then polishing it that was enough for the afternoon for me. Dont want to start getting fit and showing you lot up ;)... Besides what do you normally put on yours after polishing it? All the polish I use seems to leave it looking really nice. If I need to tart it up quickly I can give it a quick wash and use meguiars ultimate detailer to clean it off and leave it squeaky clean.. Oh also used autosol on the exhaust to make it come up really nicely. Much better than meguiars exhaust cleaning stuff that ive got..

Protection after polishing is a must. It makes the car easier to keep clean for a while after you have protected the paint.

You should well know by now that I like my Zymol. I did try the Jeff's stuff but it lacks in protection IMHO. I found crap stuck to the paint more after a Jeffs treatment.

How many coats of Werkstat did you use? You'll generally find that sealants have alot less crap stick to them than a wax. I know my 1 gets contaminated quicker with zymol Vintage on it compared to Werkstat or a similair sealant.

Car looks great mate, but you forgot to dress the tyres and polish the exhaust :D

I didnt have any back to black tyre spray or gel so tyres are still light black / brownish. The exhaust however did get a good polish on the outside but not the inside as I ran out of cloth.

Yep that's a WR1
